Why does my water heater not work as well as it used to?
Water heater failure is usually due to a sediment buildup in your tank. As water heaters grow older, they accumulate sediment and lime deposits, greatly reducing the water heater’s performance level.
What causes hot water to be rusty and brown?
Chemicals can cause rust in the water lines, and a change in the water pressure will cause the rust to loosen up and come through the water lines and into your shower, bathtub, or other plumbing appliances.
What’s the difference between a traditional water heater and a tankless water heater?
- Traditional water heaters store and preheat 30-50 gallons of water in a tank. Preheated water is used whenever someone uses hot water. The tank then refills to be reheated once again.
- Tankless water heaters use a heat source (electric or gas) to warm up cool water on-demand whenever you need it, rather than storing hot water in a tank.
